  • Open every day of Springfest
    Geilston Gardens, Cardross. 9.30am – 5pm. Daffodils, wood anemones, bluebells, and the full range of flower colours from the rhododendrons and azaleas.
    Glenarn Gardens, Rhu. Dawn till Dusk. Fabulous display of rhododendrons in sheltered setting.
    Linn Gardens, Cove 11am- 5pm. Plantsman’s garden with a variety of garden scenes including rhododendrons, bamboos and water features.
    The Hill House Garden, Helensburgh 1.30pm- 5.30pm Attractive formal gardens designed recognisably in the Mackintosh style.

  • !B! Sat and Sun -2pm til 4pm Garden Tours of some of Helensburgh’s stunning private gardens. Organised by Helensburgh and Gareloch Horticultural Society. Transport supplied £2 charge. Only 12 spaces so phone to book.

  • !B! Saturday 28 April 10.30am - Guided walk to Glenarn Gardens in Rhu - see walking events

  • Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 April 1.30pm and 3.30pm - Guided walking tours of Helensburgh's famed street trees and blossom - see walking events

  • !B! Japanese Tea Ceremonies at The Hill House: Saturday 28 April and Sunday 29 April 12.30pm, 1.30pm, 2.45pm, 3.45pm. In the garden of National Trust for Scotland, The Hill House, Upper Colquhoun Street, Helensburgh this is a unique restful experience not to be missed. Free mini-bus departs from town centre 20 mins before start of tea ceremony. £4 in cash payable at The Hill House. Reduced entry (£4 instead of usual £8) then available to The Hill House with its stunning exhibitions of George Wyllie sculptures. Booking essential.

  • Glenarn Gardens, Rhu. Visit these truly stunning gardens - guided walk to Glenarn available Saturday morning or take the free minibus from the town centre. Entry only £3. Also watch members of West of Scotland Dry Stone Walling Association building a drystane dyke.

  • Geilston Gardens in nearby Cardross Special reduced rate entry £3. this weekend or join one of our guided walks on Wednesday 2 May or Thursday 3 May which finish at the Garden.

  • !B! Thursday 3 May 10.00 - 4.30 Ben Bouie and Geilston Gardens Climb Ben Bouie then descend via the National Trust's beautiful Geilston Gardens to Ardardan Garden Centre (Free cuppa). Lovely views over Loch Lomond and the Firth of Clyde. 10km. Total ascent 300m Free transport leaves from and returns to the West Kirk, Colquhoun Square, Helensburgh. Entry fee to gardens £3.

  • !B! Wednesday 2 May 10.00 - 4.30 Stoneymollan to Cardross & Geilston Gardens Walk the Stoneymollan Road to Cardross and Geilston Gardens. Lovely views over Loch Lomond and the Firth of Clyde. Finish with a free cuppa at Ardardan Garden centre. 10km. Total ascent 200m. Free transport leaves from and returns to the West Kirk, Colquhoun Square, Helensburgh. Walk may also be joined at the National Park Gateway Centre at Loch Lomond Shores, Balloch. Free transport back to Helensburgh and Balloch from Ardardan. Entry fee to gardens £3.
